sleep not - demo 1.2 update
Hello! This update is mostly focused on bringing the game to android. I feel like it's kind of fun to play a game like this, about using your phone, in a phone, and I felt like I eventually had to get to implementing compatibility for that. Unfortunately... I've been spending hours trying to properly get this to work, and no matter what I did, I ended up running into issues. The best I've gotten is the game running with an instant crash.
This is why I will be releasing the update for desktop only for the moment, but, it includes everything needed for a mobile port!
- Energy now properly decays fast once fun is lower. This will likely be adjusted further in future updates, and in the full version.
- The "Press E" indicator is now properly animated, indicating when you're using/not using your phone, and transforming into a clock during the cool down. It is also now a functional button to work easily on mobile devices, and if you feel like clicking on a computer as well. This is a feature I've been wanting to implement for a while, and needing an android port was the perfect opportunity.
- Added proper mobile controls... that you cannot see yet.
I will be further updating this demo in the near future. I have already begun working on the full version, which is going great so far! But, there are additions in that version that I would like to port to the demo.
